Captain Don's Habitat werd in 1976 opgericht door de beroemde onderwatermilieudeskundige Captain Don Stewart en is een voorloper op het gebied van milieuvriendelijke ontwikkelingen op het eiland Bonaire. Zijn visie is ook terug te zien in het ontwerp van het resort. Van de bouwmethoden met een lage impact tot het gebruik van zonneboilers en energiebesparende apparaten, elk detail is ontworpen om zo min mogelijk impact te hebben op het lokale milieu. De kamers en faciliteiten zijn genesteld in een weelderige beplanting die zorgvuldig is ontworpen om schadelijke afvoer in het kwetsbare mariene ecosysteem dat vlak voor Captain Don's Habitat gedijt, te elimineren. Als je door het resort loopt, kun je echt een breed spectrum van de flora en fauna van Bonaire waarderen.

Best all in one stay on the island.
Great stay! Everyone was outstanding. Beautiful grounds, clean comfortable rooms. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job daily. Roger and the dive staff were super as always. We're flexible when scheduling the upcoming dive sites, so I could boat dives my favorite sites.
Bonaire dive paradise
Rooms were perfect. The vibes were top notch. This is a divers paradise. I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a dive resort on Bonaire. Worth every penny!
The staff were wonderful, the food was delicious and the accommodations were first rate. The Scuba Diving team was knowledgeable and very safety oriented. I will most definitely say at Captain Don’s Habitat during my next visit to Bonaire. Thanks again for a wonderful time!
Great diving holiday over Easter holiday
Loved it, great accommodation, fantastic diving and lovely food. Stayed with friends for diving holiday for a week over Easter.
Restaurant had a full bar and offers all that you'd expect. Dutch beer, cocktails, spirits etc. Would certainly come again.
If bonaire could offer more for non divers that would also be a bonus
