Monthly Expansion Update
Well, after somewhat of a slow start due to availability of equipment, supplies and manpower...not to mention some rain delays, work has begun on the foundations of the new Dive Center and Conference Facility.
A complete construction wall surrounds the construction area in order that guests and visitors do not have to look at a construction site and for their safety as well as to keep construction materials from entering the sea.
Vigorous efforts are being made to limit the amount of noise disturbance to our guests with times that noise producing work being limited to times that the majority of our guests are out diving.
Keep checking back for monthly updates and next month we hope to have some pictures of the progress for you.
We would like to thank all those who have visited us during this beginning phase and really appreciate all of the positive comments in regards to the project we have received from new and repeat guests alike. It's because of you, our guests, that we undertook this project for it is you who will benefit in the end.
In the picture below you can see the area outlined in red. This is the location of Phase 1 of the expansion/renovation project which will include the new Dive/Conference Facility.
This phase is slated for completion by December 2008.
The area outlined in yellow is Phase 2 which will consist of 16 Deluxe Junior Suites, each with a fantastic view of the Caribbean Sea and Klein Bonaire...not too mention our fantastic sunsets. This second and final phase of the project is slated to start January of 2009 and planned for completion by April 2010.
